From Luna Vista B & B head North on Interstate 17 (I-17) 47 miles to Flagstaff; In Flagstaff I-17 to I-40 West towards Williams 30 miles to Route 64 North; Route 64 North merges with Route 180 North (55 miles) to Grand Canyon Village
Explore the Canyon
Visit the various look-out points - Take a Helicopters Ride -
Shop the Gift Shops
Have Lunch and refreshments at the Grand Canyon Village

Return the same route in reverse - Best route after dark.
If you want a LEISURELY DRIVE, catch a nice LUNCH - do a little SHOPPING along the way to the GRAND CANYON EAST GATE DESERT VIEW LOOKOUT Entrance- catch a GRAND CANYON SUNSET, Luna Vista B&B recommends:

From Luna Vista B & B head North on Interstate 17 (I-17) to Flagstaff (48 miles) - exit at highway's end into City of Flagstaff Route 89 North; Take 89 North through Flagstaff . This road goes right through the small college town of Flagstaff - passing through the University district and the historic downtown area, proceed on 89 North heading to its outskirts towards the mountains called the
San Francisco Peaks.
Take 89 North approximately 48 scenic miles to Cameron on the Navajo Nation Reservation where you will find the Cameron Trading Post. This must see trading post houses a restaurant offering a varied menu at a moderate price AND a great Navajo Taco made on Indian Fry Bread. The gift shop ranges from touristy "Made in China" to GREAT WORKS OF ART by local and international Native American artists.
The Cameron Trading Post is Luna Vista B&B's favorite for good quality and good value in jewelry, pottery and rugs.
You'll have to backtrack on Route 89 heading South 1.5 miles to Route 64
South (you passed this on the way to Cameron) - (coming from Cameron, make a right turn) - 54 miles will take you to the East Gate - Desert View Lookout of the Grand Canyon National Park. Along the way, you'll check out the Little Colorado River Gorge (not as spectacular as the Grand Canyon, but pretty awesome just the same. Also along this route are several Navajo Indian stands offering inexpensive art, trinkets and jewelry.
Upon arrival to the GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK - East Entrance Gate - Desert View Look Out, you will receive a Grand Canyon information pamphlet and MAP, which will guide you to the various look-out points heading towards
THE GRAND CANYON VILLAGE.
